Airmar’s B175H 12° is a 1 kW CHIRP transducer with depth & temp sensing, perfect for small boats. High-frequency, low-drag, ideal for shallow water fishing. Read more.
The B175H Depth & Temperature is a high-frequency CHIRP through-hull transducer designed for precise depth and water temperature monitoring on smaller recreational and fishing vessels. As part of Airmar’s B175 series, it delivers improved target separation, fast response, and enhanced shallow-water performance compared to conventional fixed-frequency transducers, using a high-frequency CHIRP ceramic element in a compact, low-profile housing.
Engineered for applications where accuracy and hydrodynamic efficiency are critical, the B175H Depth & Temperature incorporates Airmar’s Tilted Element™ technology, allowing the internal ceramic element to be factory-set at a specific angle to match hull deadrise. This ensures optimal beam orientation without the need for an external fairing block, reducing drag and maintaining consistent acoustic performance at speed.
The B175H Depth & Temperature is available with different internal element angles to accommodate varying hull deadrise configurations. Selecting the appropriate angle allows the transducer to maintain a vertical beam path through the water column, maximizing bottom detail, fish target separation, and overall sonar efficiency across different hull geometries.
Designed for vessels up to 11 m (36’) in length, the B175H Depth & Temperature is well suited for center consoles and small fishing boats operating in coastal and nearshore environments. Operating across a frequency range of 130–210 kHz, it provides reliable depth readings and fast temperature response when targeting fish around reefs, wrecks, and other underwater structures.

The kit includes the B175H bronze through-hull transducer with an integrated high-frequency CHIRP ceramic element and built-in temperature sensor, along with the necessary mounting hardware and manufacturer installation documentation required for proper through-hull installation.
The transducer must be installed flush through the hull to ensure optimal acoustic performance and minimal hydrodynamic drag. Selection of the correct tilted element angle is essential and must correspond to the vessel’s hull deadrise to maintain proper beam orientation. Installation is intended for fiberglass or wooden hulls and should follow Airmar’s official guidelines regarding hull thickness, sealing, and watertight cable routing to ensure long-term reliability.
