The EchoPilot FLS 3D Forward-Looking Sonar is a leap forward in underwater situational awareness. Unlike traditional depth sounders that merely report the depth beneath your hull, the FLS 3D generates a fully immersive, three-dimensional view of the seabed and any potential hazards up to 200 m ahead. With its high-resolution imaging, you’ll see underwater structures like reefs, wrecks, and shoals in lifelike clarity, giving you the confidence to plot a secure course through uncharted or challenging waters.
At the heart of the FLS 3D is its patented Average Forward Depth technology. Rather than a single-point depth reading, it continuously calculates the mean depth across its entire forward swath, smoothing out local anomalies and providing a more reliable measure of what lies ahead. This, combined with the sonar’s 20 × depth-to-range ratio, means you can detect hazards at a distance much greater than most forward-looking systems allow.
Designed for simplicity, the FLS 3D is a self-contained “plug & play” sonar engine. Power it from your vessel’s 12 V or 24 V DC system, then connect the integrated visual processor to any third-party chartplotter via HDMI or VGA. Within seconds, your display will come alive with real-time 3D imagery, no proprietary software or hidden adapters required.
