Product description

EchoPilot FLS Platinum Engine – Forward-Looking Sonar for Third-Party Displays

The EchoPilot FLS Platinum Engine is a compact “black box” forward-looking sonar that instantly transforms any chartplotter, multifunction display, radar, or PC with a video input into a fully functional 2D Forward-Looking Sonar (FLS). This system provides a live, real-time view of the seabed ahead, offering an extra layer of safety for navigating unfamiliar harbors, tight anchorages, or poorly charted waters, especially at night.

Unlike traditional depth sounders or slower phased-array sonars, the FLS Platinum Engine uses an electronically controlled sonar array that continuously scans a full 90° vertical arc (from directly ahead to straight down) updating the entire screen every second or two. If your vessel turns toward an obstacle or bank, the sonar image reacts instantly, providing immediate visual feedback.

With a simple installation requiring only a single transducer and compact transmitter box, this system is ideal for skippers seeking fast, accurate seabed imaging with minimal wiring. Its composite and S-video video outputs allow integration with most marine or domestic video screens.

The system also supports multiple display locations via optional repeater units, each with its own keypad, allowing simultaneous operation at different stations on board.
