Airmar TM185M single-channel Medium-CHIRP transom-mount transducer, 1kW, operating at 85–135 kHz. Delivers strong mid-band penetration, clear target separation, reliable depth tracking and fast temperature sensing. Includes 12m cable with 10-pin connector Read more.
The AIRMAR TM185M is a high-performance single-channel Medium-CHIRP transom-mount transducer, designed for anglers and boaters who need powerful mid-frequency coverage and reliable depth tracking in a wide range of conditions. With 1 kW of output power and an 85–135 kHz CHIRP band, it delivers stronger mid-band penetration, clearer fish arches and improved target separation compared to traditional single-frequency sensors. Its medium-CHIRP range provides an excellent balance between depth capability and detail resolution, making it ideal for both coastal and offshore fishing.
Housed in a durable urethane body with a stainless steel transom bracket, the TM185M is built for long-term performance at speed. The integrated depth and fast-response temperature sensor, combined with a 12-meter cable and 10-pin connector, ensures straightforward plug-and-play integration with compatible Furuno CHIRP sounders and TZtouch systems. This transducer is well-suited for vessels requiring a powerful mid-band alternative to high-wide or low-frequency models.
The TM185M uses an adjustable transom-mount bracket that allows proper alignment on a wide range of transom angles. This ensures the transducer face is positioned correctly in the water for optimal depth readings and CHIRP performance.

Installation documentation
Mount the transducer on a clean, unobstructed area of the transom where water flow remains smooth during acceleration and cruising. Avoid strakes, steps or zones that cause aeration. Align the stainless bracket carefully to maintain full immersion at speed and prevent turbulence. Route the cable through a watertight pass-through and connect directly to the 10-pin port, keeping it isolated from electrical noise sources to ensure clean CHIRP returns.
The adjustable transom-mount bracket allows alignment over a typical transom-angle range of approximately 2° to 22°, ensuring the transducer face sits level in the water. Correct alignment during installation supports accurate depth readings and consistent CHIRP performance.
