Airmar TM165HW High-Wide CHIRP transom-mount transducer, 600 W, 150–250 kHz with a super wide 30° beam for triple coverage. Delivers crisp shallow-water detail, strong target separation and fast temperature sensing. Includes bracket and mounting hardware. Read more.
The AIRMAR TM165HW is a high-performance single-channel High-Wide CHIRP transom-mount transducer, engineered for anglers who need maximum mid-to-high frequency coverage and outstanding shallow-water clarity. Operating in the 150–250 kHz range with a super wide 30° average beamwidth, it delivers three times the coverage of traditional narrow-beam CHIRP sensors. This wide-beam format reveals fish targets and bait in the upper water column that often go undetected with standard high-frequency transducers, while producing noticeably larger, sharper and more consistent echoes on the display.
With 600 W power and a maximum depth rating of 500 ft (152 m), the TM165HW offers strong performance for boats up to 25 ft (8 m), particularly for inshore, nearshore and shallow-to-mid-depth fishing. The high-frequency band provides excellent detail, crisp structure definition and superior target separation. The included fast-response temperature sensor, plastic transom bracket, mounting hardware, and Airmar’s Xducer ID® functionality ensure precise calibration and simple plug-and-play integration with compatible CHIRP fish finders.
High-Wide CHIRP (150–250 kHz): Provides exceptional clarity, wide coverage and superior shallow-water detail.
30° average beamwidth: Triple the coverage under the boat for better fish and bait detection.
600 W output: Strong performance for vessels up to 25 ft (8 m).
Maximum depth 500 ft (152 m): Reliable mid-depth capability with crisp returns.
Enhanced target separation: Ideal for identifying individual fish in dense schools.
Fast-response temperature sensor: Immediate surface-temperature updates.
Low-profile transom design: Stable acoustic performance at speed when properly installed.
Xducer ID® technology: Ensures accurate auto-configuration in compatible systems.
Plastic transom bracket: Includes complete mounting hardware.

Installation documentation
Mount the transducer on a clean section of the transom where water flow remains smooth at cruising speeds. Avoid strakes, steps, or areas with turbulence to maintain stable bottom tracking and return quality. Ensure proper bracket alignment to keep the transducer fully submerged during operation. Route the cable using a watertight pass-through and connect directly to the compatible CHIRP input. Keep wiring away from noise sources to preserve signal clarity.
The adjustable transom-mount bracket allows alignment over a typical transom-angle range of approximately 2° to 22°, ensuring the transducer face is positioned level in the water. Proper alignment during installation supports accurate depth readings and consistent CHIRP performance.
