High-performance fairing ensures correct transducer alignment, reduces turbulence, and must be cut to hull angle. Required for proper sonar performance. Read more.
Fairings are used to ensure the transducer's sound beam is directed straight downward by keeping it aligned parallel to the water surface. They also help reduce turbulence around the transducer. For transducers designed to be used with a fairing, installation of the fairing is always necessary. The fairing should be cut to match the hull's deadrise angle, and the top portion that is removed should be mounted inside the hull.
