The Zipwake Series 400E Straight Kit Box Trim System is an advanced dynamic trim control solution designed for planing and semi-planing vessels up to 30 meters (100 feet). As part of the Zipwake Series E, it represents a major upgrade from the original Series S, offering more powerful dual-servo actuators, longer blade stroke (60 mm), and faster response (40 mm/s) for unmatched lift, efficiency, and reliability in demanding marine environments.
The Straight 400E configuration is optimized for flat transoms, providing accurate and balanced pitch and roll control. It is particularly suitable for larger leisure boats, light commercial vessels, and patrol craft that require consistent performance and heavy-duty operation. The system automatically compensates for roll and pitch motions, reducing fuel consumption and increasing onboard comfort.
Every Zipwake Kit Box includes all the components and software needed for installation: a pair of fast-acting interceptors, a Distribution Unit (DU-E), a Control Panel (CP-E), and the required cables and mounting materials. The system can be seamlessly expanded with additional interceptors and connected to NMEA 2000 networks for data integration and monitoring.

Straight Interceptors (IT400-E)
The kit includes two 400 mm straight interceptors, each equipped with dual brushless servos that provide fast and reliable actuation. Built for durability, these IP68-rated units feature self-sealing thru-hull cable fittings and watertight housings, ensuring long-term performance in harsh marine conditions.
Distribution Unit (DU-E)
This unit distributes power and communication between interceptors and the control system. The DU-E is waterproof (IP67), oil-resistant, and ignition-protected, making it safe for installation in engine rooms. It includes built-in overload protection and a 4 m power cable for secure connection.
Control Panel (CP-E)
A sleek, intuitive 3D control panel with a large color display and dual rotary dials for easy manual operation. Integrated sensors allow fully automatic stabilization, and the interface provides real-time visualization of vessel trim, roll, and interceptor position.

The Straight 400E interceptors should be mounted flush on flat transom sections to maintain uninterrupted water flow and ensure even lift distribution. Use the supplied templates for alignment and drilling precision. The Distribution Unit is best installed in a dry, accessible technical space such as the engine room, while the Control Panel should be mounted within the helm console for clear visibility and ease of operation.
All cable pass-throughs below the waterline must be properly sealed using the included watertight fittings to preserve system integrity. The system’s modular design allows for future expansion (up to six interceptors per DU-E) without requiring additional connectors or power modules.
