Tron SA20 PLB is a personal locator beacon that provides worldwide emergency alert coverage.
Tron SA20 PLB (part no. 104500) is suitable for both offshore and onshore applications. This PLB features a durable and compact construction, making it one of the smallest 406MHz lifesaving devices available.
Return Link Service (RLS) feedback confirms that your distress signal was successfully received and that your position was identified.
Near-Field Communication (NFC) technology allows for quick status reading using a smartphone.
Tron SA20 PLB is a 406MHz Cospas-Sarsat authorized personal emergency device that was created and manufactured in compliance with the most recent PLB regulations.
Global Emergency Alert Coverage
The Tron SA20 PBL has a global emergency alert coverage. This PLB can be used in worldwide offshore (maritime) and onshore (land based) applications.
Compact Design
ron SA20 PLB has a rugged and compact design, and is one of the smallest 406MHz lifesaving devices on the market.
Return Link Service (RLS)
Return Link Service (RLS) enables newly approved EPIRB, PLB, and ELTs to send a confirmation signal or message indicating that the Cospas-Sarsat system received and located the distress signal from the beacon and transmitted it to government authorities for action. The RLS confirmation signal or message should be returned to the RLS beacon within 10-20 minutes, as Search and Rescue works to expedite your rescue.
GNSS (GPS, Galileo and Glonass)
The Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is a constellation of satellites that send signals from space and transmit location and timing data to GNSS receivers. The receivers then use this information to calculate their position.
By definition, GNSS offers worldwide coverage. GNSS systems include Europe's Galileo, the United States' GPS, and Russia's GLONASS.
LED and IR-LED Flash
The term LED stands for light emitting diode, which means that when electricity travels through the diode, it emits light.
IR LEDs are light emitting diodes, however the light they emit is infrared, which is not visible yo the naked eye. It can be used for night time operations.
Both LED and IR-LED Flash help for location assistance.
NFC, Mobile App Connectivity
Near-field communication (NFC) is a short-range wireless communication technology that utilizes magnetic field induction to allow devices to communicate with one another when they are touched or brought within a few centimeters (10cm). In this instance, it allows you to link your Tron SA20 PBL to your mobile phone via a mobile app.
* 12.5 year total battery lifetime from date of manufacture.
** The Tron SA20 PLB is warranted against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 5 year.
*** Approved according to Category 2, but floats if dropped into water.
