The R111LM combines powerful deep-water search with sharp fish and structure detail for offshore fishing. Its medium CHIRP band balances resolution, coverage and a rated reach of 914 m, alongside low-band performance rated to 1,829 m. Read more.
The AIRMAR R111LM is a powerful 2 kW Low/Medium CHIRP transducer for offshore fishermen who need deep-water reach and detailed target returns beyond shallow fishing grounds. Its 38–75 kHz low band provides bottom tracking to a rated 1,829 m (6,000 ft), while the 80–130 kHz medium band combines focused fish and structure detail with a rated depth of 914 m (3,000 ft). The medium band is central to this model’s appeal, offering a balance of target resolution, coverage and depth penetration.
The 13°–8° medium-frequency beam provides a focused view of fish and bottom features, while the low-frequency beam covers a wider area from port to starboard. Designed for solid-fiberglass hulls, the R111LM installs inside the vessel using the included cut-to-fit tank, leaving the hull free of holes and exterior protrusions.
This R111C-LM-NC variant provides depth only and includes an integrated 15 m cable with bare-wire ends for connection to the terminals or connector assembly specified for your compatible 2 kW CHIRP fishfinder or blackbox sonar module.
R111LM Dual-Band CHIRP Transducer Body
Urethane-housed 2 kW transducer with separate low- and medium-frequency elements.
Cut-to-Fit Plastic Mounting Tank
Secures the transducer inside the hull and is trimmed for correct beam orientation.
Integrated 15 m Cable
Supplied with bare-wire ends for connection to compatible sonar equipment.
Test the mounting location before bonding the tank. Choose an area of solid fiberglass with sufficient space for installation and transducer removal. Orient and trim the tank within its 22° short-side or 12° long-side cutting limits, keeping the beams directed straight down. Fill it with propylene glycol (non-toxic antifreeze/coolant) as specified by AIRMAR. Install away from the engine compartment and other hot locations, and connect the cable according to the sonar equipment’s wiring instructions.
