200WX-RS422 Weather Station Instrument
The WeatherStation 200WX is the best choice for mobile, weather-monitoring applications. Sensor-rich and housed in a durable, rugged, and compact IPX6-rated enclosure, the 200WX is ideal for use on moving platforms such as TV-news and military vehicles. It calculates dynamic true wind speed and direction using apparent wind (the wind you feel when moving), the vehicle’s speed, and heading. The internal 10 Hz GPS and three-axis electronic compass deliver heading, position, speed-over-ground, and course-over-ground data, enabling precise dynamic true wind calculation on moving vehicles. A three-axis rate gyro further stabilizes the 3D compass and enhances rate-of-turn information. The patented 200WX maintains accurate dynamic compass performance even in hilly or mountainous terrain, making it well-suited for demanding environments like military operations.
