The FM-4800 marine radio is a class D DSC VHF radio

It also has a built-in 72 channel GPS and a high quality AIS receiver. The GPS can also be used as a backup to another GPS and the AIS data can be placed on the NMEA 2000 network so that it is available to chart plotters, or Time Zero on the PC, and other products. You can add a second wired handset (HS-4800) and use it as an intercom between locations and add an external speaker SP-4800 which has a megaphone with listen back function.

There is also a black box version of this radio, the FM-4850, which uses the HS-4800 handset as the primary interface. You can connect three handsets to this.
